This is a place for me to keep various food and food-related information. Mostly, this is for me so I don't forget things. But, others might find it useful, as well.
When I was in High School, I worked at Hardee's, a fast food restaurant for a summer. I generally worked evenings to close, but occasionally, I'd be there early enough to work with the afternoon guys. The afternoon guys were generally bored out of their minds as there weren't that many customers from 2-4 PM most days. So, when management was off doing whatever they do, leaving these guys alone, they'd open up 'The Experimental Kitchen.' This generally meant deep-frying various foods to see what would happen, breading anything with the breading for chicken to see what would happen, and so on. I found the name somewhat amusing, and it pretty much suits my style of cooking - some times more so than others - so I still use it. Thus, I bring you The Experimental Kitchen!
For the past year, I've been working on loosing weight. As I've done so, I've started cooking a lot, and I've learned a fair amount about both cooking and food. I have some pretty specific goals when it comes to the food you'll find on these pages. Not all of it will be 100% healthy, but generally speaking, the goal is to make things as healthy as possible. I use Calorie King for food tracking, more information about food tracking and other health-related items can be found in the health section.
